About K9 Drifters

Owners of the k9 drifters

Founded in 2024, K9 Drifters is a dog training company and dog sport club based in the Edmonton area. We are proud to offer a welcoming and inclusive environment where handlers at all levels, whether just starting out or actively competing, can find support, education, and community.

Our approach to training is grounded in the LIMA (Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive) framework, which emphasizes ethical, science-based methods that prioritize the physical and emotional well-being of both dogs and their handlers. We recognize that each dog-handler team has its own set of needs, goals, and challenges. Because of this, we tailor our training to provide thoughtful, individualized support that encourages progress and strengthens the bond between dog and human.

At K9 Drifters, we offer a variety of group classes and private lessons, with a focus on puppy foundations, adult dog development, and sport-specific skills. Whether you're building confidence in a young dog or refining performance in a competitive setting, we work alongside you to develop practical skills that carry over into everyday life and the trial field alike.

We are committed to fostering an atmosphere of collaboration, continued learning, and mutual respect. Our goal is to make dog sports and training more accessible, effective, and rewarding for every team, at every stage.
